You don’t need to be certified to be a career coach. Your work experience and passion for helping others in advancing their career are the main driving factors. Completing your career coach training with CTA makes you eligible for certification with the International Coach Federation (ICF).
Absolutely! Please keep in mind that ICF requires you to complete at least 60 hours of coach-specific training and gain a minimum of 100 hours of coaching experience to get an ICF Credential. Hence, most CTA graduates first complete the CPC course or SCPC program and then advance towards our specialization courses (like Career Coaching).
It’s entirely up to you to go for ICF Credential. Many renowned coaches are not ICF accredited. However, it’s highly beneficial to get ICF-accredited coach-specific training. It not only help you to master coaching competencies but also can make you a credible professional coach.
CTA provides in-person coach training in more than 10 countries (and counting). You can also join the Career Coach certification online. All the cohorts are conducted entirely online due to the ongoing pandemic situation.
Many of the CTA graduates continue to practice coaching to gain coaching experience hours. Our Coach Community platform and Community of Practice sessions help our graduates stay relevant to the coaching industry. Plus, you get post-training support for up to 1 year for free!
